# New VB.Net features from the trenches, and the PDCBloggers feed is your friend

**Historical article** · Originally published October 29, 2003; technical details may be outdated.

[Tom Mertens](http://pdcbloggers.net/Tracks/Tools/710.item) writes about some of the cool new features in VB.Net in the next version of Visual Studio .Net (”Whidbey”). Lots of cool stuff in there. If you're interested in hearing all the latest cool news from the PDC about Whidbey and longhorn , the [PDCBloggers RSS feed](http://pdcbloggers.net/) is ,at the time of writing this, the best resource I can find . It's actually regulated, so the posts themselves are not posted up there until they've been scanned for the “coolness” and “to the point” factors. Good job!
