Rob Mensching  has been working at MS, primarily on the Office Setup/Deployment team, for the past 4 years or so; It figures that when he has something to say about Installer Merge Modules, it's wise to sit down and listen. I mean, he is the guy who actually wrote the spec for merge modules.
