# RSS feeds for your pleasure

By Roy Osherove November 4, 2003 In [Blogging](https://osherove.com/blog/category/blogging)

Just in case you are NOT subscribed to the [Feedable RSS feed](http://royo.is-a-geek.com/SiteFeeder/GetFeed.aspx?FeedId=27), I've added some cool feeds the past weeks:

- The [.Net rocks](http://www.franklins.net/dotnetrocks.asp) show is now [hosted on MSDN](http://msdn.microsoft.com/dotnetrocks/), alas, there's no RSS feed to tell me when a new download is available, [or is there](http://royo.is-a-geek.com/sitefeeder/GetFeed.aspx?FeedId=40)?
- [Bob Powell](http://bobpowelldotnet.blogspot.com/), Author of the GDI+ FAQ has a blog, but no RSS feed, [or does he](http://royo.is-a-geek.com/sitefeeder/GetFeed.aspx?FeedId=41)?
- [Hillel Cooperman](http://themicrosoftexperience.com/default.htm), (_He's the guy who heads the team that's building the new user experience (translation: the user interface) for Longhorn)_  has a sort of blog, but, no RSS feed?? [wrong](http://royo.is-a-geek.com/sitefeeder/GetFeed.aspx?FeedId=43).
- Woudn't you just love an RSS feed that told you of the most recent downloads on the [Microsoft download center](http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/results.aspx?sortCriteria=date&OSID=&productID=&CategoryID=&freetext=&DisplayLang=en&DisplayEnglishAlso=)? I [knew you would](http://royo.is-a-geek.com/sitefeeder/GetFeed.aspx?FeedId=42).

There's some more cool stuff in there, but I'll let you be the judge of that. One possible problem: some of the site have “content blockers” that stop my RSS engine from getting to them. The [WinSuperSite](http://royo.is-a-geek.com/sitefeeder/GetFeed.aspx?FeedId=38) feed experienced this for a while but now it's OK. However, the problem returned in case of the [Wininformat](http://www.winnetmag.com/windowspaulthurrott/Index.cfm?Ad=1) sites... just letting you know that these feeds could be tricky..

One more thing. I know many of you sent feed requests via the [Feedable](http://royo.is-a-geek.com/sitefeeder/) site. I got them, but some of them might not make air. The big problems with the technology I'm using is that the content that is “scraped” should be consistently written, and some of these sites are not. Other sites are merely hosts for other, private URLs, which my engine can't seem to get to (or is it just my slow brain?).. anyway -It also takes time (depending on the site) to prepare a feed for public consumption and I have many other things on my mind, so.. be patient, and keep suggesting!

**PS:**

Did I mention the [Sysnternals RSS feed](http://royo.is-a-geek.com/sitefeeder/GetFeed.aspx?FeedId=30)?
