Yes, another year of monthly meetings has gone by and our IVBUG has completed 6 full years of life.  It is great to see how many of the same people have been showing month after month over the years, in addition to all of the many new faces that have joined us at various points along the way.  Let's keep it up !

For the first part of our meeting, we will have the chance to hear directly from two Microsoft Israel managers who are particularly close to our activities:  Doron Zohar, the .NET Platform Group Manager and Michal Geva, the Audiences Marketing Manager.  They will each say a few words about their vision and plans for the coming year and then we will open it up for an interactive discussion.  This is a great opportunity for us to ask the questions that have been bothering us and to offer ideas and suggestions directly to Microsoft.

Like with every birthday celebration, I have managed to arrange for some special treats…

For the second half of the evening, I will share some of my thoughts, impressions, and inside information that I had at last week’s Microsoft PDC (Professional Developers Conference).

The PDC is where Microsoft unveils its future vision and plans.  I want to help you recognize the different code names for the future versions of Windows, Visual Studio, and the sub-technologies, as well as their general plan and directions.  In future meetings, I will go into detail and actually demo some of this future software.

As always, we'll have our special "Hatzilu" session at our meeting. So please come prepared to discuss your most frustrating problems (or at least some of them !) and to share some of your own techniques and solutions that you have found useful in your applications.

Jackie.
