# Risk Management

By Roy Osherove December 29, 2003 In [.Net Quotations](https://osherove.com/blog/category/net-quotations), [Cool Articles](https://osherove.com/blog/category/cool-articles)

**Historical article** · Originally published December 29, 2003; technical details may be outdated.

[Darrel](http://dotnetjunkies.com/WebLog/darrell.norton) [points](http://dotnetjunkies.com/WebLog/darrell.norton/posts/4984.aspx) to the [MSF Risk Management Discipline](http://www.microsoft.com/technet/treeview/default.asp?url=/technet/itsolutions/tandp/innsol/msfrl/msrmd11.asp). Indeed, this is something I believe to be very important, however, I did not put my money where my mouth is, and although I've [read about it](https://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1556159005/iserializable-20), I never got the chance to actually practice it. Ah, live and learn. I'll be reading this in the next couple of days, but I've already learned to trust that what [Darrel](http://dotnetjunkies.com/WebLog/darrell.norton) recommends is probably, well... recommended.
