# Editor's Choice Awards

OK, I give up. [UltraEdit](http://www.ultraedit.com/) is **the** best Text editor I've used. The only thing missing from it (that exists in most other editors) is the ability to press ALT and then select text using Block mode. No.You have to enter block mode using a menu. that sucks.

[Textpad](http://www.textpad.com/) is the next cool editor. It features 95% of UE's functionality, but with a smaller footprint and faster load times.  I've found EmEditor to be ,well, less than satisfactory to say the least.
