# A Solid Text Editor

By Roy Osherove May 6, 2003 In [Cool Tools](https://osherove.com/blog/category/cool-tools), [Off Topic](https://osherove.com/blog/category/off-topic)

**Historical article** · Originally published May 6, 2003; technical details may be outdated.

After playing with it myself a bit, [this text editor](http://www.emurasoft.com/emeditor3/index.htm) seems to have everything I ever wanted in a text editor (And some stuff I didn't think I needed, but did!) including all the keyboard junkie options I dig. **Everything** is customizable.

The only thing I didnt see here (that exists in UltraEdit) is IntelliSense style listbox on CTRL+SPACE. But This one is much better then the compatition IMHO for its UI and its cool tray icon option.
