# Announcing: .Net Desktops Contest

By Roy Osherove June 10, 2003 In [Off Topic](https://osherove.com/blog/category/off-topic)

OK. Here's a cool idea. A "_Coolest Desktop_" contest. Whoever wants, sends me a screenshot of their desktop ,either at home or at work, in a zip file, to

**\[email removed\]**

\- make sure its a jpg or gif, not a bmp

\-put "\[contest\]" in the subject or body, and a link to your blog/site(if you have one)

\- 1 pic per person

\- send in a ZIP file only!

I'll put the screenshots up in the contest photo gallery for everyone to watch.  Then we'll somehow have to decide of a winner, but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it.(Hey, maybe we can get one of the MSFT folks to arrange for a cool prize?)

I've already put mine up. The album is located here:

Let's see what we can come up with. I was a witness to such a contest about 2-3 years ago, and people came up with some amazing desktops. Mine is pretty boring, but I'll try to put my work desktop instead...

p.s

It will take about 12 hours until you start seeing the shots I got by mail,so be patient...
