# AppDomains Reloaded

By Roy Osherove June 12, 2003 In [.Net Original](https://osherove.com/blog/category/net-original), [Cool Articles](https://osherove.com/blog/category/cool-articles)

**Oh man**. Reading Chris Brumme’s [Post/Book Chapter about AppDomains](http://blogs.gotdotnet.com/cbrumme/PermaLink.aspx/56dd7611-a199-4a1f-adae-6fac4019f11b) was a bit like the first _Matrix_ Movie.

- I figured I was in for a ride, but I never knew just how in-depth it was going to be.
- After the beginning, I kept wondering “How the hell did he know/do that?”
- Mid-way through it, I started to “get” it
- by the end I was saying “**Cool**! This explains so much!”.
- I had to re-read some of the material to get all the finer points
- There are some things about it I know I’ll figure only a few months from now (Well, that’s  a little less like the matrix, but what the hey)
