# More About Processes

By Roy Osherove June 22, 2003 In [.Net Quotations](https://osherove.com/blog/category/net-quotations)

**Historical article** · Originally published June 22, 2003; technical details may be outdated.

- I wouldn't delude myself into thinking that this is because of my [earlier post about Processes](http://weblogs.asp.net/rosherove/posts/8973.aspx), but [Early & Adopter](http://radio.weblogs.com/0117167/) posted a small and helpful [post about Debugging Process.Start](http://radio.weblogs.com/0117167/2003/06/19.html#a347) by redirecting the Standard Output stream from that process.

- Also, I was asked how to handle preventing multiple instances of the same application. I'll just point in the direction of [this nice article](http://www.codeproject.com/useritems/restricting_instances.asp) for the answer
