# So, you have to live with 1.0?

Some of us still use the 1.0 framework (for pretty weird reasons, some people still believe that moving to 1.1 would be a bad thing.. and it's not - if you take the [necessary precautions](http://www.asp.net/faq/SideBySide.aspx) and know what breaks between versions).

The least you can do then is make sure to download and install [Service pack 2](http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;318836) for .Net 1.0.

- Download it [here](http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;318836).
- Here's the [list of fixes](http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;321884) in the service pack.
- Don't know if you have the service pack installed? [Here's how to find out](http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=318785&sd=msdn).
