# "How do I open a weblog here?"

By Roy Osherove February 15, 2004 In [Blogging](https://osherove.com/blog/category/blogging)

**Historical article** · Originally published February 15, 2004; technical details may be outdated.

I've had a couple of friends ask me how they can open a weblog here on .NetWeblogs. They both are .Net developers and one of them(on my suggestion) tried to contact ScottW directly to ask for a blog but no answer.

What's the current method of opening a weblog here?
