# In local news...

By Roy Osherove February 6, 2004 In [Off Topic](https://osherove.com/blog/category/off-topic)

**Historical article** · Originally published February 6, 2004; technical details may be outdated.

In local news, these misc items happened:

- [Dino Esposito](http://weblogs.asp.net/despos/archive/2004/01/30/65101.aspx) found [my article](http://msdn.microsoft.com/asp.net/default.aspx?pull=/library/en-us/dnaspp/html/searchforplugins.asp) helpful. Yes, it seems like a suck up, but you'll have to get over yourselves. I'm honored.
- [Michal Blaha](http://blog.vyvojar.cz/michal) has built what looks to be a better and more maintained Feedable, called [Web2RSS](http://web2rss.vyvojar.cz/), using parts of code [that I published](http://www.msdnaa.net/Resources/display.aspx?ResID=2324). Very cool. Again, I'm honored.
- I'm almost sure if I'm gonna buy a laptop It's going to be an IBM ThinkPad T41,T41p or R50p. Any thoughts?
