# Israel slowly discovers RSS

By Roy Osherove April 1, 2004 In [Blogging](https://osherove.com/blog/category/blogging)

**Historical article** · Originally published April 1, 2004; technical details may be outdated.

This is very cool. One of the biggest news sites in Israel - [YNet](http://www.ynet.co.il/), has published a [big news article](http://www.ynet.co.il/articles/1,7340,L-2858430,00.html) covering the benefits of RSS and XML. All I can say is **finally!.**

Ironically, this same site, [has a community technology related weblog](http://www.ynet.co.il/home/0,7340,L-2537,00.html) (think “SlashDot“ with less Linux zealots) which has no RSS feed.
