I'm happy to announce that Agile Israel will host [Johanna Rothman](http://www.jrothman.com/) at an upcoming special meeting of the group. The meeting will take place next week, on **December 15th (Thursday),** at the Microsoft Offices in Ra'anana.

**Please confirm your arrival so that we know how many people to expect.**

This is Johanna's **second** talk at our group, the first one being on our second ever meeting. Her last talk was a huge success and audio recording of it can be downloaded from the Agile Israel site.

Due to Johanna's visit this month and Hanukkah, **we're postponing** the next meeting of Agile Israel to January 5th. the meeting after that will occur on January 23rd

**When**: December 15

Gathering at 17:30, we start promptly at 18:00

**Moving Towards Agile Project Management**

Your project's ship date seems short for the necessary work. Your
requirements are sure to change. Everyone's pounding on you for even
more features. So, you realize that a conventional waterfall
lifecycle is unlikely to solve your problems. You'd like to try an
Agile lifecycle, but your organization is suspicious of Agile
techniques, or doesn't know how to cope without the false assurance
of a detailed Gantt chart. What can you do?

Without completely changing everything you do in your projects, you
can apply Agile principles to your projects--providing business value
to your stakeholders and customers.

In this session, through practice, we'll develop a framework--based
on the kinds of risks you typically encounter--for integrating
selected agile practices into different types of projects.

**Learning Objectives:**

- Learn about frameworks based on project risk
- Develop a framework project managers can use to select agile practices that fit their projects
- Illuminate key Agile practices.
- Practice these Agile practices

Johanna has been [interviewed](http://www.itconversations.com/shows/detail392.html "http") on topics such as project management and hiring technical people. You can [listen to the interview over here](http://www.itconversations.com/shows/detail392.html "http").

**Location**

Meeting will take place at **Microsoft Ra'anana**:

2 Hapnina St, Raanana

(09) 7625-100

Floor 0 , Dekel Room

It is the new building across from Amdocs.

After the first traffic circle, there is an area for (free) parking on the right.
