# A new way to fight blog trackback spam?

By Roy Osherove June 19, 2005 In [Blogging](https://osherove.com/blog/category/blogging)

**Historical article** · Originally published June 19, 2005; technical details may be outdated.

[Paschal](http://weblogs.asp.net/pleloup/) posts about what seems to [be an interesting and efficient way to fight blog trackback spam](http://weblogs.asp.net/pleloup/archive/2005/06/19/413765.aspx).

Now we need to add a way to manage it from the blog and add support for this here on weblogs.asp.net.

Of course, it uses regular expressions :-)
