# \[Tool\] Convert NUnit tests to Team System Tests

By Roy Osherove June 26, 2005 In [Agile Related](https://osherove.com/blog/category/agile-related), [Cool Tools](https://osherove.com/blog/category/cool-tools)

**Historical article** · Originally published June 26, 2005; technical details may be outdated.

"[Jim Newkirk](http://blogs.msdn.com/jamesnewkirk) has [released](http://blogs.msdn.com/jamesnewkirk/archive/2005/06/24/432485.aspx) an alpha version of a utility to convert [NUnit](http://nunit.org/) tests to [VSTS tests](http://msdn.com/library/en-us/dnvs05/html/vstsunittesting.asp).

What he doesn't mention in the post is that he's using [GAT](http://lab.msdn.microsoft.com/teamsystem/workshop/gat/) to integrate this conversion functionality into VS05."

I don't think a lot of us will have lots of use for this just yet, but it's good to know it's there.

Alternatively, you can simply do some [Quick & Dirty Compatibility](http://blogs.msdn.com/jamesnewkirk/archive/2004/06/16/157703.aspx): Add some namespace aliases and "Find and Replace" to make things work on VSTS.  I bet that's what the tool does too, but I haven't checked it out yet.
