# What blog community site do you recommend for a new .NET blogger?

By Roy Osherove August 2, 2005 In [Blogging](https://osherove.com/blog/category/blogging)

**Historical article** · Originally published August 2, 2005; technical details may be outdated.

I have a very knowledgeable friend who would like to start a blog about topics such as Windows Vista and VS 2005. He asked me where he should open his blog. I didn't have a good answer.

So, what blog community site would **you** recommend he start with? It has to be free and well maintained.
