# Geek Desktop Contest Announced

By Roy Osherove July 14, 2006 In [Community News](https://osherove.com/blog/category/community-news)

It's time for another Geek Desktop Contest (last one was 3 years ago!).

Just head on over to [http://Desktops.Osherove.com](http://desktops.osherove.com/) , register, and upload a screenshot of your desktop.

Contest closes on august 31st 2006, and the first prize is an [MSDN Premium Subscription](http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/products/subscriptions/premium/) for 1 year.

I'm still at the point of getting judges and other cool prizes for this, but rest assured this is going to **rock!**.

and of course, you can always just boast with your geek desktop no matter if you win or lose.

The site will stay on for as long my hosting service lets me (which should be enough for a lifetime).

More details soon, but  meanwhile - you can start submitting your screenshots on the site!

- JPG format only
- no larger than 200k
