By Roy Osherove November 23, 2007 In [Community News](https://osherove.com/blog/category/community-news)

**Update**: Looks like it was a [bad behaving version of Visual SVN](http://codebetter.com/blogs/jean-paul_boodhoo/archive/2007/11/23/update-to-vs2008-issue.aspx) that caused the crash. Thanks for the update, JP!

I think I'm going to stay with my VS 2008 Beta  Install for now. [Sorry JP](http://codebetter.com/blogs/jean-paul_boodhoo/archive/2007/11/22/vs2008-bringing-attention-to-an-issue.aspx), it's this kind of thing that makes me wonder what on earth is Microsoft doing up there that they can't even get these small(big) things right. isn't this what CTPs are for?
