Announcing: First Agile Israel user group meeting this month!

I think its about time to do something about that Agile user group I talked so much about.

So.

The first meeting of the Agile Israel user group will be held on January 31st, Monday at 18:00 at Magen. Co-managing the group with me will be Udi Dahan. Udi has been into Agile methodologies for as long as I've known him, and I couldn't think of anyone better to help me manage the group. Udi was  the one to suggest the idea of actually forming such a user group, about a year ago if I recall correctly. So thanks for the great idea, Udi!

The meeting will last for about 3 hours with a break in between.

January 31st, Monday at 18:00 at Magen

  • 17:30 - gathering and registration
  • 18:00 - Introduction and welcome
  • 18:15 - Why Agile? (Roy Osherove)
  • 19:30 - break
  • 19:45 - Agile, Iterative development with O/R Mapping tools (Udi Dahan)
  • 21:00 - Raffle and questionnaire

Udi's session will be a natural continuation of the talk he gave in the last IVCUG meeting on O/R mapping tools. If you were there, you'll like his presentation even more.

The room we'll be in currently can hold up to 30-35 people. If we can fill that up, that would be awesome. But realistically, I don't think that will happen on the first meeting. I'm arranging for SELA university, through Alon Fleiss, to provide us with a class once a month. That class will also have computers so ther'll be a chance to do hands-on meetings as well.

If you intend to go,

please send an email to : UserGroup at TeamAgile.com with your details.

I also have a list of emails from people who have contacted me at the .Net DeepDive event and throughout the various TDD workshops that have expressed interest in joining the group. You'll be notified too, but just in case, send me an email anyway.

I'm working on a user group site. If there's anyone out there with graphical skills that would like to help me figure out a nice logo for the user group, that would be awesome.

Let's see if we can make it happen. See you there!
