The topics Udi will try to cover this month are:
What performance really is, and when it is important.
How to tell if performance is a problem, and what to do about it.
How caching relates to all this.
Technologies that will be encountered:
ASP.NET, ADO.NET, SQL Server 2000
Common Caching techniques:
Caching data close to the client:
- ViewState
- Page output caching
- Caching datasets
CAB ( Caching Application Block )
Each technique will show pros and cons, when and where to use it, and lots of code examples.
