I just added an alerts service to my blog after reading about it on Kevin Harder's blog. Supposedly, you should now be able to receive an alert on you MSN IM whenever my blog updates. That's pretty cool, and is an easier venue for RSS-less readers of my blog to know when I'm updated. The alert button is also on the top left side of my blog's main page.
